Questions & Answers for Bugaboo Bugaboo Bee

necessities for a newborn
Q: We are considering the bee for our first stroller (expecting in May). Do we need to get the cocoon for head support? If they do require more support, if the cocoon the only option? Meaning, if head support is the issue, could some of the general 'extra head support' items I see in baby stores work?

A: If you’re using your stroller with a newborn, some sort of cushioning and head support is a great idea. The Bugaboo Cocoon isn’t the only option with the Bee, though. You can most definitely use a different item like the Newborn Snuzzler. (http://www.giggle.com/p/13186/Newborn-Snuzzler.aspx?cc=WA&s=1&keyword=snuzzler) In fact, the Cocoon will be too warm for your baby in May, so I’d recommend using the Snuzzler anyway, since it’s reversible for different seasons. It will work with any item that has a five-point harness, like a car seat or high chair, so you can get a lot of use out of it. Thanks for your question!

A: Unfortunately, your Maxi Cosi Mico infant car seat won’t work with the Bugaboo Bee. Only the Graco models are compatible with the Bee at this time.

A: There isn’t a bar that you can purchase for extra security, but rest assured, the five-point harness will keep your child completely safe and secure insider the stroller.

Thanks for your question!

Hmmm
Q: My husband and I were just in London and the salesman demonstrating the Bee to us put a Maxi Cosi car seat on the Bee. He used the small Maxi Cosi adaptors. I see they are available in the UK and Australia. I am guessing they are just not available in the States yet. Thoughts? (We feel the Graco adapter system is so bulky).

A: Unfortunately, due to different safety guidelines here in the USA, the Maxi Cosi adapter wasn't approved for the Bee. The Graco Adapter is bigger than the Maxi Cosi adapter, but it's super easy to use. It just clicks right onto the stroller chassis and you can fold your stroller with it attached! How convenient?!

Car seats and Bugaboo Bee
Q: Can you please list all of the infant and regular car seats that are compatible with the Bugaboo Bee? Is there a car seat that fits with the Bee that does not need an adaptor?

A: Certainly! The Bugaboo Bee is compatible with infant car seats only and they are: Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seats, and the Graco Infant SafeSeat (Step 1). They both require the Bugaboo Bee/Graco Car Seat Adapter (http://www.giggle.com/p/20532/Bugaboo-Bee---Graco-Car-Seat-Adapter.aspx). But it's super easy to use since it just snaps easily onto the stroller chassis. And you can even fold the Bee with the adapter attached!
