This outdoor blanket is great for use on softer surfaces, but it probably isn’t thick enough to make concrete comfortable. However, the nylon lining is nice for protecting it from moisture. What you could do is add a thicker blanket or play mat on top to make it more comfortable, like the Cuddle up Blanket (http://www.giggle.com/p/24843/Cuddle-Up-Blanket.aspx?cc=BBTEA2&s=1&keyword=blanket). We love the Essentials blanket for picnics and playing outside! It may be wiped clean after each use and when needed, it can be washed in a commercial or large capacity washer.
