A: The polyurethane in this mattress protector shouldn’t cause you any concern. Some people confuse polyurethane with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), but polyurethane is an inert substance. Furthermore, the polyurethane membrane is extremely thin, it’s surrounded by flannelette, and it makes up only a tiny portion of the fabric. One more reason not to worry? This mattress protector has been certified by IVN and the Soil Association to be 100% safe for use in the nursery. Sweet dreams!
