Halo Deluxe Velboa SleepSack Wearable Blanket

We hear all the time from parents whose little ones get too cold after kicking their blanket off in the night -- and we have just the answer! Part of our "better basics" line, this wearable blanket from Halo made exclusively for giggle zips up the front and stays securely around your baby while he or she sleeps. It also eliminates the danger of re-breathing that can be caused by loose bedding covering the face, earning it "#1 Safe Sleep Product" from First Candle/SIDS Alliance. When to use?
Q: I have been swaddling my 2 month old since she was born - at what point does one switch from swaddling to using this alone, and do we need to still use a sleep positioner as well?

Thank you.

Staff Answer
A: Swaddling, like everything else, differs from child to child, but most little ones will be swaddled until about three months of age, at which point they’ll start wanting to stretch out. As long as your baby still enjoys being swaddled, stick with it! After that, you can transition them into the Halo Wearable Blanket, which gives them a little more room. As for sleep positioners, they’re used until around four months of age; when your baby starts trying to roll over, it’s time to remove them from the crib for safety.
