As a crib, how does front rail work?

1. How does the front rail work? Does it drop down? or maybe it opens out like a door? I can't find any info/photos on that.
2. What is lowest mattress position & what is the height of the rail from that position. My 9 month old baby is a climber!

The Sleepi crib has fixed rails, which means it doesn’t drop down. Not to worry, it’s low to the ground, so getting your baby in and out won’t be an issue. When the mattress is at its lowest setting, the height from the top of the crib is 24’’. Your little one shouldn’t be able to climb out just yet, but, when the time comes, simply remove the front rail and it becomes a toddler bed!

phosphorus, arsenic and antimony in mattress?
Q:
I purchased this bed with the non0rganic mattress and just read an article from 2002 about how phosphorus, arsenic and antimony are used in crib mattresses (mostly as a fire retardant) and that these chemicals have been linked to SIDS in studies conducted in New Zealand. Can someone confirm that these chemicals are not in this mattress? Thanks so much.

Sleepi Crib for Twins
Q:
Hi, I'm having twins and I currently live in a NYC 1 bedroom so I was considering the Sleepi Crib because of its size. Do you recommend using one Sleepi Crib for both twins or is it too small? This would just be a temporary solution until we move. If yes, until what age do you think we can safety put two babies in the Sleepi?

As a general rule, twins can sleep in the same crib, but only until around six months or until they start rolling over. There shouldn’t be a material difference for you using a Sleepi verses any standard-sized crib; the issue of when you move them beyond a crib-share is less about size and more about movement. However, some of your decision will ride on how your particular twins behave in a co-sleeping environment. And as always, we defer to a discussion with your pediatrician regarding sleep issues that may present with your children!

There's a little more to it than that, because there are other parts/pieces used in the assembly of the bassinet. If you want to start your Sleepi out as a bassinet, you have to purchase the Sleepi crib and bassinet set. The Sleepi is a great value, thought, because you can also buy a conversion kit that lets you convert into a toddler bed when you're ready
