A small number of car seats have been identified where the car seat doesn’t properly attach to and detach from the base, but no injuries have been reported. Only the following models manufactured prior to February 18, 2008 are affected by this voluntary recall: 22-371 HFL, 22-371 JUC, 22-371 ORE, 22-371 PNG. The model and date code can be found on the bottom of the car seat or on top of the base. To answer your other question, I’m not quite sure if it’s the lightest weight convertible car seat on the market, but it’s extremely compact and definitely lighter than some others. Since it goes up to 40 lbs and has a small footprint, it’s definitely lighter than some Britax car seats, such as the Advocate CS and the Boulevard CS. I hope you find this information useful. A convertible car seat means your baby can be rear-facing or forward-facing.
