Questions & Answers for Bambino Mio Bambino Mio Nappy Starter Set

Cloth vs. hybrid
Q: How exactly are these different than regular cloth diapers? From my understanding, the disposable liner is placed under a layer of cloth, so I don't see the advantage besides extra absorbency. You still have the same mess of a regular cloth diaper, right?

A: Great question! The main advantage that sets the Bambino Mio system apart from regular cloth diapers is that the disposable liners help you manage the mess better. The liners are placed inside the nappy and can be flushed away, mess and all -- which is especially helpful once your baby is on solids. Although they may not cut down on washing, they will cut way down on rinsing and soaking, and that will make laundry day a lot more bearable!

A: The Nappy Starter Set is one size fits all so you don't have to guess!

The "Starter Set" nappies and covers fit babies from birth up to 11 lbs.

Like so many parts of the Bambio Mio diaper system, their flexible sizing makes them multi-stage (and therefore less use and dispose!).

How exactly are these diapers better for the environment?
Q: Are the disposable liners biodegradable? What are they made of?

What is the difference between these diapers and G-diapers?

We'd be interested in a "workshop" on Bambino Mio diapers in your Chicago store. There are so many cloth diapers to choose from, and now a few hybrids. It would be helpful to see the process in action.

A: Yes, Bambino Mio Nappy Liners are biodegradable and made of 60% soft wood pulp and 40% polyester fibers. They are stay dry one way liners which allow moisture to pass through the nappy but prevent it seeping back keeping your baby dry and comfortable, and you happy!

Extremely popular in Europe, Bambino Mio is giggle’s top pick because of its great fit, super absorbency and overall ease of use. Both Bambino Mio and G-diapers are great hybrid diaper solutions and we applaud both for their efficacy. But, Bambino Mio’s easily flushable liner gets the slight nod for usability which makes Mio our #1 pick. We continually evaluate our products, and will consider G-diapers as an alternative in the future. We certainly welcome your feedback as to which you prefer!

And thanks for the suggestion of the workshop! That's a great idea that we'll explore.
