Orbit Bassinet Cradle

Orbit Bassinet Cradle

This extra-versatile bassinet is the perfect solution for the baby on the go. Compatible with the Orbit stroller system, it clicks right into the frame so you never have to wake your sleeping baby. It's great for use as a travel bed, and can even be used with the included rocking frame for use as a cradle. It also includes a carry tote and collapses flat to just six inches high for travel or storage. Click here for more product details .

Questions & Answers for Orbit Orbit Bassinet Cradle

1 answer
Sheet and pad for bassinet
Q: A lot of people gave us the advice of not buying a separate bassinet for the baby. We are planning on getting the entire Orbit system so we thought we would just use the bassinet for a while in the home. Our only concerns are sheets and a "waterproof" pad. Do you have any recommendations on what would work?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Neal

A: That’s a great idea! Might as well get as much use out of this fabulous bassinet as possible. There aren’t any sheets or waterproof covers that are designed specifically for it, so the only real option is to get them custom-made, or have a standard bassinet sheet altered. (Keep in mind that it’s important to have a perfect fit to reduce the risk of SIDS.)

Just so you know, the aero-sleep mattress it comes with is machine washable, and the fabric can be removed for washing as well. So, even if there’s a spill, you can get it cleaned in a snap!

A: Great question! There isn't a specified weight for the Orbit Bassinet. Like most bassinets, this can be used up to 6 months of age depending on your baby.

On average, most parents transition out of the bassinet around 3-4 months, because babies become more aware of their surroundings and want to see the world. Also, once you see your baby trying to push themselves up and peek their little head out, that's another sign they're ready for the next stage.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal, it's especially great for its versatility. The frame can be used as a rocker to soothe your baby, or lock into place and remain stationary!
