Firm enough?
Q: Is this mattress firm enough for a baby to sleep on every night? I know that is a requirement for SIDS prevention, and it looks like it is more cushy than a typical full-sized crib mattress. Thanks.

A: You are right: when it comes to reducing the risk of SIDS, the firmer the mattress, the better. The coir used in the Coco Mat is coated in natural latex, which provides superb ventilation and insulation, and helps make an extremely firm and supportive mattress - a key safety feature in regards to any mattress.

Staff Answer
A: This mattress isn’t designed for travel because it doesn’t roll or fold any which way, and it’s really too cumbersome to take on a plane. It’s meant to coordinate with the lovely Alma Mini Crib by Bloom (http://www.giggle.com/p/25363/Alma-Mini-Crib-by-bloom.aspx?cc=almgrn&s=1&keyword=alma). If you’re looking for a travel bed, check out the very popular Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light (http://www.giggle.com/p/21709/Baby-Bjorn-Travel-Crib-Light.aspx?cc=CO&s=1&keyword=bjorn). It folds up compactly and can be checked like a suitcase, so it makes a great travel companion!
