Occasional Jogging
Q: Hi - we are thinking of getting this stroller for Grandma's house in the suburbs. We live in the city and have a bugaboo cameleon and maclaren volo. We would primarily use it for walks to the park and errands, but could we use it for occasional jogging too? We don't run that fast! Thanks!

A: It’s fine to use the City Mini for an occasional jog. The only thing to be aware of is that it’s not built with the suspension of a true jogger, so your ride wouldn’t be as smooth for you and your baby, but it will work okay – the smoother the surface, the better. If you do want a little more flexibility for jogging, the BOB Revolution jogging stroller (http://www.giggle.com/p/17588/BOB-Revolution-Jogging-Stroller.aspx?s=1&keyword=bob) is a fantastic jogger and everyday stroller.

Happy strolling!

using for an infant
Q: Is there a way to use this stroller with an infant without the car seat attachment? Is there some kind of infant insert so the baby can go right in the stroller? Thanks!

A: The seat on the City Mini reclines to a nearly flat position, making it suitable from birth. You’ll want to get additional body support to keep your newborn in place, which will also keep them extra cozy! The Newborn Snuzzler is super soft, machine washable, and reversible. Jogging?
Q: I know it's called the "Jogger" city mini, but after reading the reviews I noticed that no one commented on the ability to actually jog with this stroller. Do you have any feedback concerning the ability to jog with this stroller? Would it be wiser to opt for something like a BOB if my husband and I intend to use it frequently for that purpose?

A: The City Mini is not a “true” jogger, so yes, if you intend on jogging frequently, you should check out the Bob Revolution as you mentioned, or the Baby Jogger Switchback Hybrid Trailer/Jogger (http://www.giggle.com/p/25662/Baby-Jogger-Switchback-Hybrid-Trailer-Stroller.aspx?cc=NA_YA&s=1&keyword=switchback) which is great for the active parent. Not only can you jog with the Switchback, you can pull it behind your bike. ! Both of these are fantastic options if you and your husband are joggers.

A: The City Mini Stroller has hard rubber tires with an 8" dual front wheel which can swivel for great maneuverability. Or, you can lock it into place for long distance strolling!
